Caroline Willis is a visual journalist and graphic designer who recently graduated with degrees in Journalism + Design and Photography from The New School. She works with text, images, and archival materials to tell thoughtfully reported stories. In her work, she uses these mediums to discuss divisive issues surrounding violence against women and southern identity. Over the past year and a half, Caroline has been employed as a teaching assistant in various journalism and photography courses where she has worked in the classroom to help instruct students about journalistic ethics and photographic processes. She hopes to apply these skills as she pursues a career as a photo editor for a media outlet where she can be engaged in conversation about image selection and placement.
